Four-car crash traps BMW man

A motorist was trapped behind the wheel following a four-car smash in Stafford.

Firefighters were called to the A449 Rowley Bank just before 5.15pm yesterday.

Crews removed the roof of the trapped driver's BMW 3 series car.

He was taken to Stafford Hospital by ambulance. His injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Three other drivers were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
