Stafford is preparing to welcome royalty as Princess Anne arrives next week as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the town's Citizen's Advice Bureau.
The Princess Royal will be visiting the County Buildings in Martin Street next Monday to meet volunteers of Stafford & Stone Citizens Advice Bureau.
She is patron of national CAB and on her arrival will be met by James Hawley, Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire, at the buildings along with other civic dignitaries.
She will then meet caseworkers, volunteers and trainees as well as some of the bureau's partners and sponsors who are supporting it in its celebrations. Mrs Elaine Robinson, Stafford & Stone CAB Chairman, said: "We are very fortunate to have The Princess Royal as our national patron and to be able to welcome her in person here in Stafford.
"Her support for the work of the CAB service is greatly appreciated and we are delighted she is able to join us to thank our team of volunteers and paid staff for all their hard work and dedication, and to celebrate 70 years of providing free, independent advice to the people of Stafford Borough."
The Stafford office of Stafford & Stone CAB opened in November 1939.
