A sports auction is being planned for Stafford's annual Barmy Army cricket day, which is due to take place at the town's Riverway ground cricket club next month.
Stafford's England supporters – Stafford Barmy Army Tourists – will entertain the Rest of England Barmy Army on August 14.
The score in the series so far is 4-3 to the visitors but the Stafford team is determined to regain the Avro Trophy and draw level.
The fun will start from midday with the first ball bowled at 2pm.
Last year's game also raised £1,552 for the charity Leukaemia Research and the home team hope to beat that total this year.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the players can get a sponsor form from the Stafford Cricket Club website at www.staffordcricketclub.co.uk
l Stafford Cricket Club is also still inviting donations for a memorial bench for Libby Moss, daughter of a former committee member, who died earlier this year after a road accident in New Zealand.
Donations can be made at the club to Chris Emery or sent to 10 Cheltenham Drive, Wildwood, Stafford, ST17 4TX with cheques made payable to Stafford Cricket Club.
