Dead man identified

The body of a man found near woodland in Kidderminster has been named as 44-year-old Ian Carroll.

Mr Carroll, of Whinchat Grove, Kidderminster, was found by youths playing on a grassed area off nearby Spennells Valley Road at around 7pm on Wednesday.

A post-mortem carried out on Mr Carroll on Thursday proved inconclusive.

Detective Inspector Dean Jones said police were still treating the death as unexplained.

But he added officers were not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter.
