A Wednesbury nursery has been given a glowing report by inspectors, who rated it outstanding in all areas.

Our Place Nursery, part of the Priory Family Centre at Dorsett Avenue, Friar Park, received the top marks from Ofsted for overall effectiveness, leadership and management, and quality and standards.

Among the areas of excellence identified in the report are well-planned activities, links with the parents and community, awareness of health and safety and facilities. The inspection took place in December 2008 and has just been published.

Nursery manager Faye Boucher said: "We are over the moon with the Ofsted report.

"It's a credit to all of the staff here. We take pride in the service we offer, and the educational needs of the children are always at the heart of everything we do.

"The facilities here are fantastic, and enable us to offer a great childcare service to the local community.

"I honestly believe that working in such a close-knit environment enhances the learning environment of both staff and children. The Ofsted report reflects that."

The nursery opened in 2004 and operates from Priory Family Centre.
