Raiders hit a woman around the face after forcing their way into her home at Romsley and demanding money.
Raiders hit a woman around the face after forcing their way into her home at Romsley and demanding money.
The attack happened after two thugs stopped at the house in Shut Mill Lane between 6.15 to 6.30 last night.
They knocked at the door and asked the woman, in her 50s, for water for their car radiator. After getting the water she became suspicious and tried to close her front door but the raiders then forced their way in.
They demanded cash and hit her around the face then searched the property but left empty-handed when the woman's husband returned home. The victim was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The raiders are described as white, 20-30-years old, one 5ft 10 inches tall with dark hair, the second around 5ft 6 inches tall, with short mousey hair. The getaway car is described as a dark-coloured convertible, possibly a BMW.
