Applications are being invited from individuals, artists, arts organisations, theatres, clubs and communities across Staffordshire for a share of this year's county arts grants fund.
Last year, the annual scheme, which is made up two separate funds, the Community Arts Fund and the Development Fund, supported more than 50 arts events and activities throughout the county, ranging from singing workshops, music concerts, festivals and more.
The Community Arts Fund, which is run by Staffordshire County Council's arts and museum service, is open to any arts group or community group planning an arts project or event in Staffordshire.
The activity must have an arts basis and can feature one or more art forms. The maximum amount that can be applied for is £600.
Last year the Carers Association South Staffordshire received £600 towards the cost of running Sing with Confidence workshops. These were aimed at bringing informal family carers together to socialise.
Stone Music Festival was successful in gaining £600 last year and was a huge success, attracting up to 8,000 visitors who enjoyed listening to almost 80 different bands, performances and workshops.
The development fund supports groups and organisations with a proven track record in managing and developing arts projects and initiatives which address a variety of social issues or target marginalised groups. The maximum amount to apply for is £2,000.
A grant of £2,000 from this fund was awarded to Chase PAIRS, an ongoing project which aims to raise the awareness of domestic violence and abuse within Cannock Chase District.
