A teenager suffered head, leg and arm injuries when he was knocked down by a car in Kidderminster.

The boy, believed to be 13, was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra in Somerleyton Avenue at around 8.50am yesterday.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said paramedics sent to the scene found the boy had suffered multiple injuries and he was taken to Worcester Royal Hospital for treatment.

The car driver was not injured and the boy's injuries are not believed to be serious.
