Wildlife experts in the Wyre Forest are urging motorists to watch out for the amphibians as they prepare to return to their breeding grounds.
Hundreds of toads start their journeys after dusk and particularly after heavy rain. Roadsides have also been lined with chicken wire and buckets dug into the ground to collect hundreds of toads.
