Liz Hurley signs up for charity
Actress and model Elizabeth Hurley was today unveiled as the goodwill ambassador for a Staffordshire-based national children's charity.

She has committed to help Caudwell Children, which provides life-changing donations to sick and disabled children, with fundraising throughout the year.
"There are sick and disabled children living in the UK who may not be receiving the support they need. Caudwell Children is trying to make a difference and I'm happy to help," she said. The charity, founded in 2000 by mobile phone entrepreneur-turned-philanthropist John Caudwell, the charity has donated more than £9 million and helped change the lives of thousands of children.
Trudi Beswick, charity chief executive , said: "All of the team are thrilled that Elizabeth has agreed to support the charity. She is a global film and fashion icon as well as being respected as a loving mother.
"It is a great start to 2009 to be able to announce Elizabeth's involvement and I'm confident that she will be influential in the continued growth of the charity." The charity gives specialist equipment, treatments and therapy for sick and disabled UK children and once a year provides a week-long trip to Florida for up to 40 children fighting life threatening illnesses and their families.
Caudwell Children's annual fundraising ball is in London in May. Last year's event featured Whitney Houston and was attended by astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Joan Collins, David Furnish, Kelly Rowland and Boyzone.
