Bright future as new store to open
A new branch of credit store Bright House will be opening its doors in Kidderminster's Rowland Hill Shopping Centre later this month.
A new branch of credit store Bright House will be opening its doors in Kidderminster's Rowland Hill Shopping Centre later this month.
The shop sells a range of household and electronic goods.
It offers people the chance to pay in installments either weekly or month.
It comes as a boost to the town's retail industry following the recent loss of Motorworld and the possible closure of Rosebys.
But although chairman of the Kidderminster Town Centre Partnership, Peter Picken, welcomed news of the store, he fears it might encourage people to borrow too much money. "I am obviously pleased with any new shops opening in the town. But we do not want to find people are borrowing money they cannot pay back."
An officially opening date has not been announced and it is not yet known how many jobs will be created.
No one from Bright House was available for comment.
