Channel Tunnel closed in fire alert

BREAKING NEWS - Trains through the Channel Tunnel have been been suspended following a fire.

There were no reports of any injuries after about 30 people on the train were evacuated to safety from the tunnel when a blaze began at 1pm in a freight train some seven miles from the French coast.

French firefighters were said to have brought the fire under control.
