The United Kingdom's largest speculative industrial development currently under construction in Staffordshire is on course for completion in November.
Flair, which is a 700,000 sq ft building at G. Park Rugeley, could provide up to 700 jobs for the region once it is fully operational. It is a joint venture between Gazeley and MetLife. And is the first warehouse to be delivered on the site. Furthermore, once it is completed, it will be the only distribution building of its size available in the Midlands.
The steel frame is already nearing completion and cladding is well under way.
Nick Cook, who is development director at Gazeley, said: "This development further enhances our presence in a crucial logistics region in the UK, and signals our continued investment in the area.
"The site will prove to be attractive to our customers due to its strategic location and economic rental levels.
"G. Park Rugeley highlights Gazeley's ability to secure and deliver key logistics developments and illustrates our continued confidence in occupier demand for speculative development within the UK industrial market."
With one site already in operation at Tamworth, and developments planned at Crick and Chatterley Valley, Flair is Gazeley's latest investment in the Midlands.
Steven Holland, who is head of asset management at regional development agency Advantage West Midlands, visited the site this week to get a first look at its progress.
He said: "This site will provide a massive boost to the region not only through the creation of new jobs but also through added investment in our local economy.
"It's great to see such rapid progress with the construction of the building and we believe Gazeley, in partnership with MetLife, will deliver a top quality building on this strategic Staffordshire site."
Flair at G. Park Rugeley will be available to occupiers on both a freehold and leasehold basis.
