He will give a presentation at a community forum meeting next week when people can ask questions.

Mr Pritchard's firm Chaseregen Plc has submitted plans to build shops, a restaurant and apartments on the old Lucas Lighting factory in Market Street.

The name of the planned glass-fronted Lucas Court development has been changed to The Light Works and it is hoped it will create 150 jobs and open in mid-summer next year.

Lucas Lighting operated during the 1930s, and the development will reflect that era. Mr Pritchard is to talk to Hednesford Community Forum on Tuesday.

Representatives from developer St Modwen Properties Plc will also be at the meeting to give an update about the first two phases of its project to regenerate both ends of the town.

The first phase will see Lidl take on a 16,500 store at the junction of Rugeley Road and Market Street and other shops, apartments and a pub/restaurant will be built. Phase two will focus on the Victoria Street end of town.
