Cinema-goers in Dudley can enjoy a magical evening full of incredible live tricks when a talented pair of illusionists appear at Merry Hill's Odeon cinema in Brierley Hill.

Craig Petty and Ethan Mark, of Black Country-based Magic4Hire, are performing to mark the launch of British comedy Magicians on May 20.

Specialising in close-up tricks and street magic of all varieties, the duo will tour the cinema foyer, auditorium and front steps to show off their skills.

Tricks involving disappearing coins, decks of cards and magically-appearing flames will be on show.

Sleight-of-hand specialist Craig said: "We are going to be doing what's called walk-around magic a bit like David Blaine does on TV.

"It will be close-up magic in people's hands and right under their eyes. There will be a really wide variety of tricks on show."

Odeon cinema's Steve Annetts said the internationally-renowned pair's magic had to be seen to be believed.

"I keep setting up meetings with them just to get them to do more tricks because some of the magic they can do is just breathtaking," he said.

Magicians, starring Robert Webb and David Mitchell of Peep Show fame, follows a pair of stage performers who see their double act thrown into disarray when one of their volunteers is accidentally decapitated.

The movie is released on May 18.
