Around 150 girls took part in a climbing festival event held at the Wyre Forest Glades Arena in Bromsgrove Street.
Funded by the School Sport Co-ordinator Programme, the event was aimed at increasing the confidence of students at key stage three level.
Schoolgirls from years seven, eight and nine at Comberton Middle School tackled the two plastic climbing walls which measured around 20 feet in height. The aim was to give the students a chance to learn a new activity and new skills, make new friends, improve self confidence and have the chance to try a challenging new experience.
The Climbing walls were provided by Bear Creek Adventure, based in Bromsgrove and Wolf Mountain based in Wolverhampton.
Event organiser Mandy Sylvester, who is a PE Teacher at the school, said: "The girls had an absolutely fantastic time and have threw themselves into the challenge. They have really got involved and supported each other in this activity."
