The dimunitive 65-year-old proved size doesn't matter in terms of value for money as he played a two-hour knockout set.

Simon, who penned all the hits as part of legendary double act Simon and Garfunkel, started with Gumboots and Boy In The Bubble from the 1986 Grammy award-winning Graceland album.

He then played a selection of his greatest songs including Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover, Me And Julio Down By The School Yard and Slip Sliding Away.

The audience were captivated during the entire, flawless set. There were laughs as Simon gleefully reminded them that he was once in the band Simon and Garfunkel, playing the part of Simon.

There were three encores for the spellbinding hits Mrs Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water and Homeward Bound, before he ended the show with The Boxer.
