A new park and playground has opened in a West Midlands market town - and it will make for a perfect day out this May bank holiday weekend.
A brand new park and playground has opened in the heart of Kidderminster, around a 40 minute drive from Wolverhampton.
It will make for a perfect day out this May bank holiday weekend as temperatures are due to climb. Families and friends can visit the brand new park and playground, and enjoy fun in the sun.
Talbot Park was officially opened to the public on Saturday, May 2. The park, which links Worcester Street with Bromsgrove Street, has been created through investment from the Government’s Future High Streets Fund.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council, said: "This is a truly proud and exciting moment for Kidderminster.

"Talbot Park is a shining example of our commitment to revitalising the town centre, creating an attractive, accessible space that will inspire further investment, encourage visitors, and support local businesses.”
The new park features green spaces, benches to sit and winding, graduated steps linking it to the town centre.
In the playground, there is a slide, two pentagon spheres to climb, balance beams, ropes and picnic areas.
There's parking at Bromsgrove Street car park, which is a five minute walk through the town centre to Weaver's Wharf, where there a multiple stores including an M&S, Next, Boots, B&M and TK Maxx.
The newly created park and green space is named Talbot Park in celebration of the town’s champion who died in 2019, Charles Talbot MBE, who worked tirelessly in Kidderminster and Wyre Forest public life for almost 60 years.
Wyre Forest District Council said on Facebook: “We're thrilled with how it's come together. There's a play area for the kids, plenty of seating, and a new route connecting Lion Fields to the town centre.
“It's the perfect spot to grab some lunch, soak up the sunshine, and just... breathe”.
