Classic 911 models get all manner of Louis Vuitton-inspired touches.

Classic Porsche restorer Singer and luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton have teamed up on a pair of special-edition 911 sports cars.

The first, finished in a combination of saffron, cobalt blue and yellow colours, is made directly with Louis Vuitton, while the second, which is based on an iconic Turbo cabriolet model, has been created with the help of Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections.

The builds are centred around a mechanical watch which can be removed from the vehicle and used as a desk clock. From there, many areas of the classic 911’s design have been reimagined, with elements such as the speedometer and rev counter redesigned to reflect Louis Vuitton’s usual style.

The cabin of the hard-top 911 is finished in full leather, with the edges of the seats getting the same edge-dyeing technique used on Louis Vuitton handbags. There’s diamond-pattern embossing on the seats, while Louis Vuitton’s ‘flower’ design is used on the sun visor and headrests.

Many elements such as the adjustment knobs and control switches have been crafted from rhodium-plated metal and then hand-finished to achieve a high level of shine. Naturally, a bespoke luggage set – including a 1950s-inspired helmet bag – completes the package.

The Classic Turbo, meanwhile, is finished in white with brown accents, while inside there’s a combination of leather and wood for an old-school appearance. A golden ignition key features inside, and there’s a luggage section behind the seats which uses the same varnished wood that you’d find on the deck of a high-class yacht.
