Dacia reveals more details of the Striker crossover

The Striker will be available with hybrid powertrains and four trim levels for the UK market.
Dacia has announced more details on the C-segment Striker which will sit below the firm’s Bigster SUV.
The Striker forms part of the brand’s ambition to achieve a 33 per cent sales growth in C-segment vehicles by 2030.
The car’s exterior design will share a lot of DNA with other Dacia models, focusing on the firm’s ‘robust’ and ‘outdoor’ approach. With its sloping roofline and pronounced rear haunches, the Striker is more of a high-riding estate than an SUV.
In the UK, there will be four trim levels to choose from with the entry-level Essential coming with 17-inch steel wheels, roof bars and a 10.1-inch infotainment system. The Expression adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and power-folding door mirrors.

Move up to the Extreme and you get 18-inch alloy wheels, Copper Brown exterior and interior trim, a panoramic sunroof, an Arkamys 3D six-speaker premium sound system and keyless entry. The range-topping Journey boasts even more kit with a powered tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charger and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
Under the bonnet, the Striker will be available with a hybrid powertrain, badged ‘Hybrid 155.’ It will use a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated to two electric motors that produces 153bhp.

There will also be a hybrid four-wheel drive model called ‘Hybrid 150 4×4’, which is equipped with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and 48-volt technology that makes a total of 168bhp and 317Nm of torque. This variant will also benefit from five driving modes; consisting of Auto, Eco, Snow, Mud/Sand and Off-road to help maximise the car’s ability on different road conditions.
Prices for the new Dacia Striker are anticipated to start at less than £25,000 when the car goes on sale later this year.
