The chain previously had two locations inside the popular Black Country shopping centre - but now the store has been revamped following a major investment from M&S and Merry Hill's landlord, to create a 93,000 sq ft space for shoppers next to Primark.

Shoppers can expect there to be a wide range of fashion choices in the clothing department, as well as a selection of home and beauty products. But also will be able to stop off at the food hall café.

The refurb was expected to finish towards the end of this year - but it has now been announced that the store is ready in time for the Christmas shopping rush.

In a post on social media, a spokesperson for the M&S team said: "We’re officially ONE store again! It’s a huge moment in our Merry Hill journey, Menswear has now launched in our main store, bringing all departments under one roof for the first time in 27 years.

"With our multimillion pound ‘Flagship Spec’ development, you can now find everything, from Food and Home to Beauty, Lingerie Womenswear, Kidswear, Menswear and Coffee Shop right here in one incredible store

"The store has been expanded to now offer the best of M&S  and this is not the finished store, we’ve still got new entrances as well as internal and external perimeter space to reveal.

At the time the investment was announced, CBRE sovereign centros executive director Graeme Jones said: “The last couple of years have been transformational for Merry Hill, and agreeing with M&S to invest in the destination means we’re carrying that momentum forward.

“They have a strong legacy here and the move into one store will provide them with a great platform for growth which will also benefit the centre as a whole, particularly our customers.

“It’s no coincidence that M&S’ investment has come to Merry Hill, joining our super regional peers in having the latest concept from a brand every destination wants.

"That makes this collaboration incredibly important as it means we can showcase M&S as a key anchor tenant with a lasting commitment to Merry Hill, delivering the best experience possible for our visitors.”
