Kidderminster pub reopens after extensive six-figure refurbishment
A popular family-friendly Kidderminster pub has reopened after undergoing a six-figure refurbishment.
The Marston's-owned Land Oak has reopened as a “Two Door Pub” and now offers a sports bar area and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces, with a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge.
The community hero chosen to pull the first pint at the pub’s opening on Wednesday (November 26) was Ian Ridgeway, a familiar face at the Land Oak, well-known regular, and local builder whose hard work and dedication played a key role in the pub’s transformation.

Also in attendance was the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor Doug Hine, who was elected mayor in May and officially opened The Land Oak by cutting the ribbon.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action, while the space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table.

The Land Oak is a dog friendly locals' pub with a community feel and locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat.
The pub continues to serve its favourites alongside a special festive set menu, featuring Christmas classics such as traditional roast turkey and desserts like dark chocolate mint tart, as well as gluten-free and vegan options.
The Land Oak will host a variety of events over the festive period, such as Bingo Evening on December 4, Build your Own Pizza on December 5 and Paint and Sip with Caroline on December 8.

General manager of the Land Oak, Paul Edis, said: “At the Land Oak, we’re excited to introduce our distinctive ‘Two Door Pub’ concept to the community.
"This investment reflects our commitment to creating a space where both locals and visitors can enjoy memorable experiences, whether it’s the thrill of live sports in our vibrant bar or the comfort of relaxing in our inviting family lounge.
"Every detail of this refurbishment has been carefully considered to cater for a variety of occasions, blending modern style with the warmth of home. With something for everyone, we can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors.”
