Rollason joined Crowe in July to support the firm’s continued investment in the Midlands and South West and is a partner in its national tax team.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in the accountancy profession, enhancing the firm’s corporate tax advisory capabilities.

His appointment to the CIOT’s national Council will take effect from Wednesday October 21, with him initially undertaking the new role alongside his existing roles as the current chair of the West Midlands branch and a member of its national Owner-Managed Business Technical Committee.

He said: “It is a great honour to be appointed to Council of an organisation that has already played such a big part in my career to date. I will work hard to ensure that CIOT members across the country continue to benefit from the organisation’s work, especially in its commitment to promote education in taxation.”

The CIOT is an educational charity and professional body, established to work for the public benefit.

A registered charity, membership of the CIOT is by examination, nationally recognised as the gold standard of UK taxation education. CIOT supports 20,000 members and 5,000 students throughout their tax careers, providing assistance through its London-based head office and worldwide network of 40 branches.
