Wood Waste Technology employs 14 staff at its manufacturing facility on Astonfields Industrial Estate in Stafford, where it designs and manufactures wood waste heaters and then installs and maintains them around the UK.

A substantial increase in enquiries has propelled the business forward as the popularity of environmentally friendly heating solutions increases, with the result that the business has expanded the factory, taken on more employees and is looking to take on more staff in the near future.

As environmental issues and carbon emission reduction continue to play an increasingly important role in business operations, Wood Waste Technology helps manufacturing businesses of all sizes burn their wood waste rather than putting it in skips or sending it to landfill.

As well as saving companies money on waste disposal costs, the wood waste burners also provide free heating for companies, helping to combat rising business energy bills.

The business was formed in 2002 by Kurt Cockroft and Michael Evans, who both shared a vision to help businesses virtually eliminate waste disposal and heating costs and have a lower carbon footprint, simply by better utilising the waste wood from manufacturing. In realising this vision, They have built a strong reputation for excellent quality, easy to use, reliable products with unbeatable customer service. In fact, all the wood waste heaters ever sold by the business are still in operation today.

Wood Waste Technology's 1,000th unit was installed into Northamptonshire company, Handcraft, which manufactures quality furniture carcases for kitchens and bedrooms.

Handcraft director Paul Manchett said: "It just made sense to buy one. It's great value for money as we'll be saving approximately £12,000 a year by no longer having to hire about four skips a week just to dispose of waste wood, and we'll never have to pay a heating bill again."

Wood Waste Technology is proud to be part of the great British manufacturing machine, and designs, creates and assembles all its products at the company's head office in Stafford, using only quality parts and experienced labour to maintain the high quality and exceptional reliability that a reputation has been built upon.

The company has invested £100,000s in research and development over the years, as Kurt and Michael strive to develop innovative new products, make groundbreaking developments and give maximum product lifespan at minimum cost to the user. For example, Wood Waste Technology perfected the design of a heater without the need for costly afterburners. It has also developed a hot water boiler system that is fully compliant with the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme, and is so competitively priced so it opens up the market for companies of all sizes, not just larger organisations to benefit from renewable energy hot water solutions.

MD of Wood Waste Technology, Kurt Cockroft said: "This type of heating solution is becoming more and more popular here in the UK as business owners and managers start to understand just how much money can be saved.

"Depending on what biomass system is chosen, companies might also be able to claim tax relief via the Government's Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme, or be eligible to claim Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments of up to £25,000 per year for the 20 years of the programme. Once clients realise how much money they can save, they usually wish they'd installed one sooner."
