£1,500 donation to boost Forest School at Lichfield special school
A specialist school in Lichfield has received a £1,500 donation to help improve its outdoor learning facilities.

The funding has been awarded to Rocklands Associated School Parents and Friends (ASPF), the charity supporting pupils at Rocklands School, and will be used to enhance the school's Forest School provision.
The improvements will include new equipment and resources designed to support outdoor learning and provide pupils with more opportunities to develop practical skills, confidence and independence.

Headteacher Jane Mackin said the funding would make a real difference to the school's pupils.
She said: "Outdoor learning plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, independence and personal development of our pupils.
"This funding will help us improve our Forest School provision and create more opportunities for children to learn through nature-based activities."
Rocklands ASPF raises money to provide opportunities and equipment beyond those funded through the school's core budget, supporting enrichment activities and specialist resources for pupils.

The £1,500 donation was provided by David Wilson Homes through the Barratt Redrow Foundation's Community Fund.
Helen Lewis, managing director of David Wilson Homes Mercia, said the company was pleased to support the school's outdoor learning programme.
Rocklands School supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs from across the Lichfield area.
