The Dudley school has become part of the trust following a period of consultation and collaboration involving school leaders, governors, staff, families and Invictus.

The move is intended to provide opportunities for greater collaboration between schools, professional development for staff and the sharing of expertise and best practice.

Milking Bank Primary School will retain its existing ethos and community identity while becoming part of the trust's wider network of schools.

Edward Vitalis, chief executive of Invictus Education Trust, said: "We are absolutely delighted to officially welcome Milking Bank Primary School into Invictus Education Trust."

He said the school had a "strong identity and a proud place within its community" and that the trust was looking forward to working with staff, pupils and families.

Mrs Brass, co-head teacher at Milking Bank Primary School, said joining the trust was "a very positive step for our school community".

Co-head teacher Mrs Davis added that membership would provide opportunities to work with other schools and benefit from shared expertise while retaining the school's "caring ethos and strong community spirit".

Milking Bank is an established feeder school to Ellowes Hall Sports College, which is also part of Invictus Education Trust.

The trust said the addition of the primary school would strengthen educational pathways for families across the community, from early years through to secondary education.
