The new Specsavers Wolverhampton Hearing Centre celebrated its official opening with a visit from the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Craig Collingswood, who cut the ribbon to declare the dedicated audiology store open.

Previously, audiology services were delivered from the same location as the optical team. The move to a dedicated audiology space allows the team to further enhance the experience for customers seeking hearing care, with a setting designed specifically around hearing assessments, hearing device fittings and aftercare. The new store features three testing rooms and a dedicated wax removal room, with the latest technology including AI and rechargeable hearing devices. The store will be open seven days a week.

To mark the occasion, the store was decorated with balloons and customers were welcomed with refreshments and a special celebration cake, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the day.

On the opening, audiology director Adam Sadler, said: "Opening our standalone hearing centre on World Hearing Day made the celebration even more meaningful. Hearing care plays such an important role in overall health and wellbeing, and this new space allows us to offer a more focused, comfortable and dedicated service for our customers. We were delighted to welcome the Mayor to officially open the store and to celebrate with the local community who continue to support us."

World Hearing Day, recognised globally each year on March 3, highlights the importance of ear and hearing care and raising awareness of hearing loss.

The new store will continue to provide hearing checks, advice about the most suitable hearing devices, earwax removal and ongoing aftercare, helping residents across Wolverhampton access specialist hearing support close to home.
