Cannock opticians eye up award
The team at a local opticians is celebrating after being shortlisted for a top industry award.
Specsavers on Voyager Drive, Cannock, has reached the final stages in the Awards for Excellence’s Best Place to Work category. The annual awards recognise the achievements and professionalism across all UK and Ireland Specsavers stores.
"We’re absolutely delighted to have made the top three in the Best Place to Work category," Jaspreet Dhaliwal, store director at Specsavers Cannock Voyager, comments. "To be recognised amongst our peers is particularly rewarding and in a category that means a huge amount to us.
"Along with my co-director, Claire, we’re extremely proud of the culture that we’ve built at the store. We want everyone to look forward to coming to work and this shortlisting recognises that we’ve put a huge amount of effort into achieving that.
"We were lucky enough to take home the title in the People Development category last year so we’re hoping to continue our winning streak! To make the shortlist is an achievement in itself though and we’re looking forward to joining our colleagues for an evening of celebration at the ICC in Birmingham at the end of the month."
