New Deputy Lieutenants appointed for Staffordshire

Three new Deputy Lieutenants for Staffordshire have been appointed by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Professor Elizabeth Barnes CBE.

The Deputy Lieutenants took up their roles on Monday 16 March 2026, while a formal commissioning ceremony will take place at County Buildings in Stafford later in the year.

The new Deputy Lieutenants are:

  • Mr Jonathan Joseph Mannion CStJ

  • Mr Mohammed Khuram

  • Mr Philip Edward Pusey MBE, MCM

His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant is the King’s representative in the County. She represents His Majesty on a wide variety of occasions which merit Royal support and which celebrate significant achievement in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

The Lord-Lieutenant works across the County, with her Deputy Lieutenants, to promote Staffordshire and to help it become a better place to live and work.

Professor Elizabeth Barnes said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Staffordshire’s new Deputy Lieutenants. I know that they will all make a great contribution to our communities and the work of the Lieutenancy, building on their current roles and activities in the County. I look forward to working with them.”
