The Fair, which took place at the Severn's Club in Lickhill Road, in partnership with Greener Stourport and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, attracted an attendance of about 500 people, who were able to visit a large range of stalls and listen to a series of talks relating to wildlife and nature.

John Rhymer, Chair of Wyre Forest Green Alliance, said: “We are delighted at the number of people who attended and the enthusiasm they showed for the protection of the natural world.

"The Fair brought together wildlife groups, conservation organisations and community initiatives for a truly inspiring day.

"Visitors were able to explore stalls and displays from wildlife organisations, browse book and local produce sales, and enjoy children’s activities.

"Plus a series of very popular short talks throughout the day gave attendees the chance to hear from local experts about wildlife, conservation, and sustainable land management.

"With growing interest in biodiversity and climate action, we feel confident the event has helped connect members of the public with practical ways to support wildlife close to home."

The next major event to be staged by Wyre Forest Green Alliance will be a Greener Living Fair at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, April 18 from 10am to 2pm.
