Is your child finding it hard to make friends? Brand new BBC series casting in Wolverhampton
The award-winning makers of The Dog House and the BAFTA-winning producer of First Dates are looking for children from Wolverhampton and the local area - aged 5 to 8 - for a brand-new BBC series about childhood friendships.
Does your child need a little helping hand making friends? A brand-new BBC series is casting now in Wolverhampton
We all know what it feels like to try and make a friend. An awkward hello. Turning up somewhere alone. Telling a joke that doesn’t quite land. Friendship can be difficult for all of us.
Now imagine navigating all of that as a little kid.

Will You Be My Friend? is a heart-warming new BBC series exploring the world of friendship through children aged 5 to 8 who are finding it hard socially. Some are shy, some struggle to fit in, and others simply haven’t found their tribe yet. They want to make a friend - but don’t know where to start.

At the heart of the series is The Friendship Centre, where a team of psychologists help children build confidence and develop the social skills needed to form real, lasting connections. Each child is then sensitively matched on a playdate with a potential new friend from their local area.

Six weeks later, we revisit them at home to see how that new-found confidence is helping at school, in the playground and beyond.
The series is a timely reminder that just one friend can completely change your life.

Will You Be My Friend? is casting now in Wolverhampton and the local area, and we would love to hear from families with children aged 5 to 8 who may be struggling to make friends.
