Club members’ photography skills on display in latest competition
Photographers from Tettenhall Wood Photographic Club were able to admire the talents of fellow members, when high quality printed images were on display for the third round of the printed images competition.
Dave Tucker EFIAP/p BPE5 DPAGB, from Stafford Photographic Society, gave a critique on the images and judged the competition for us and was impressed by the standard of work. Details of the successful images and photographers are given below. The image chosen by club members as their favourite was ‘Past and Present’ by Michael Bull.

First place in the advanced section went to Neil Kingsbury with ‘War of the Worlds-Bridges’, ‘Fly and Fungi’ by Michael Bull was placed second with ‘Love in a Mist’ by Janet Griffiths third. ‘Sorceress of Lies’ and ‘Serephnia’, both by Neil Kingsbury, were highly commended. The commended images were Michael Bulls’ ‘Past and Present’, The Hill Farmer by John White, ‘Open All Hours’ by Paul Reynolds and ‘The Skateboarder’ by Janet Griffiths

For the intermediate section the first placed image was ‘A minute too late’ by Kapoor Singh, second was ‘Sealions’ by Paul McKenzie and third was ‘Echoes of Valour’ by Kapoor Singh. The highly commended images were ‘Ride!!’ by Roger Paxton and ‘Poppies and Amaryllis’ by Delia Kingsbury. The commended images were ‘Forest Fire Landscape’ by Paul McKenzie, ‘Railway Buddies’ by Kapoor Singh and ‘The Library’ and ‘The Stamp Room’, both by Roger Paxton.

The winning image in the general section was Kruger Leopard 2 by John Gainham, with ‘I’ve got my eye on you’ by Martin Edwards in 2nd place and ‘Shimmering Reflections on Buttermere Lake’ by Mark Rock in 3rd place. ‘Siesta’ by Bryan Organ and ‘Venture with Spirit’ by Martin Edwards were highly commended. The commended images were ‘Busking Swan’ by Dean Hardie, ‘JW’ by Mark Rock, ‘Cathedrale de Santa Maria de la Sede’ by Martin Edwards and ‘Pollinator’ by Ray Dulai.
