Wolverhampton author donates £1,500 to Ukraine through book sales
Local author Peter Frost has raised £1,500 through sales of "Uncle Chris's Collection of Crafty Short Stories," with all proceeds directed to World Vision's Ukraine relief efforts.
The three mystery short story books, “Uncle Chris’s Collection of Crafty Short Stories,” have raised significant support for the charity, which has already helped over one million Ukrainian children with food, blankets, mattresses, generators, and educational supplies.
Frost is expanding his outreach through speaking engagements. He recently addressed a Rotary club and will speak at a Women's Institute AGM, with the goal of reaching a £5,000 fundraising target.

The collection has also gained media attention. Radio stations have broadcast two of Frost's mystery stories, recorded and submitted by the author. Additionally, one story was longlisted for the "Mysterious Murder Short Story" competition this year. Competition judges praised it as "a good old-fashioned crime story that packs a heist in under 3,000 words, and quite twisty. It kept me guessing till the end, and I felt I really knew the characters."
Frost attributes the books' appeal to their format. "People haven't the time to read a whole book in one sitting," he notes. "The idea of a ten-minute-read mystery story with a clever twist really resonates."
Books are available online from Amazon and Waterstones at £10 each, with all author proceeds donated to World Vision.
