The Wolverhampton dancer is no stranger to the stage, having featured on stage with some of the world's biggest stars: Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Bad Bunny and Kylie Minogue, just to name a few.

On February 22 he performed with Netflix‘s KPop Demon Hunters singing voice stars at the BAFTA Film Awards in London. In their first live performance outside the U.S., EJAE, who provides the singing voice for Rumi, Audrey Nuna, who sings Mira’s lines, and Rei Ami, who stars as the singing voice of Zoey, performed their Grammy-winning hit Golden.

James spoke on what his experience at the BAFTAs was like: “Honestly it was incredible, they are the biggest superstars on the planet right now, it is such an honour."

As a young boy, James learned to dance in different studios around the city, and also studied at Birmingham Ormiston Academy. He then moved to the big city, London, where things really amped up.

James has performed in front of millions of viewers, on TV shows like The Voice, The Brit Awards, Eurovision, Dance 100 (Netflix), as well as starring in some of the biggest blockbuster movies such as Wicked, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Spiderman.

“Max Pham was the choreographer for the BAFTA performance, who I actually met on a show that I did for Netflix called Dance 100… I am grateful that he asked me to come and work with him again on this performance.”

He has recently travelled to China, Saudi Arabia, France and Spain for shows with Vogue, Post Malone, Robbie Williams and Chris Lee.

His Wolverhampton roots never leave him, and he represents Wolverhampton on every stage that he steps on.

“Wolverhampton is the city that made me, it will always be home, and my biggest inspiration."

James plans to continue to shine bright on the world's biggest stages, with more films and summer festivals coming up this year. He is also teaching dance, and hopes to move to Los Angeles to continue achieving his dreams.
