St Peter’s Head Coach Douaine Anderson praised his players for their resilience and commitment throughout the game. “I am incredibly proud of the group. They trusted the process and executed the game plan with real discipline and togetherness. It’s one thing to talk about achieving something difficult, but it’s another thing entirely to go out and make it happen. The girls showed tremendous character.”

The victory marks a significant milestone for the programme, as the team returns to the Dynamik National Schools Final for the second consecutive year, where they will look to go one step further after finishing runners-up last season.

The final will take place at the University of Essex on March 25, where St Peter’s will compete for the national championship.

With a blend of defensive intensity, team depth and strong leadership on the court, the Wolverhampton side now has the opportunity to complete what Coach Anderson described as “unfinished business.”

“Last year we experienced the pain of falling just short. This year we return with the same belief, but an even stronger determination. The focus now is on preparing over the next two weeks to give ourselves the best chance to bring the national title back to Wolverhampton.”

The team will now enter a final period of preparation before travelling to Essex later this month for the national final.
