Central Fabrications strengthens operations after £25,000 business grant
A long-established Walsall manufacturing business is preparing for its next stage of development after securing funding to invest in new machinery and expand its production capabilities.
Central Fabrications Midlands, which has operated from the town for the past 20 years, primarily manufactures products for the roofing and cladding sectors and has become one of the largest suppliers to the UK self-storage industry.
The £25,000 grant, awarded by local funding provider Walsall Business Support, will be used to invest in a new CNC machine to improve efficiency and support expansion within its existing market, helping the business strengthen its offering and meet growing customer demand.
“This funding will allow us to invest in new equipment that supports the long-term growth of the business,” said Nik Humphreys, Director of Central Fabrications Midlands.

“The support we’ve received has really helped us move forward with plans that will ensure we continue to serve our customers effectively and remain competitive in the market.”
Adam Howell, Walsall Business Support Board Member, said: “We are delighted to support Central Fabrications as they invest in new machinery and build on their long-standing presence in Walsall’s manufacturing sector.
"Their commitment to strengthening their operations and planning for the future is a great example of the resilience and ambition of local businesses, and we look forward to seeing their continued success.”
