Businesses representing the West Midlands at Europe’s biggest security event

The largest security event in Europe is making its triumphant return to the NEC this April, with 26 businesses representing innovation in the sector for the West Midlands.

Held for the seventh year running on between April 28 and April 30, The Security Event aims to educate smaller businesses and industry professionals in all forms of security including; cyber security, artificial intelligence, crowd management, organisational resilience and public safety. The event brings together all aspects of security, from installers and providers to consultants, end users and more, so no element of security is left unexplored. 

More than 17,500 visitors are expected to attend the three day event, showcasing the world’s leading security brands, offering opportunity to source the latest products, technologies and solutions, whilst networking and meeting face-to-face with key experts from across the industry. 

Representing the West Midlands is DeterTech. Based in Telford, DeterTech offers a range of solutions for security monitoring and detection, including remote monitoring, intruder detection and forensic marking. DeterTech also owns the leading Smartwater system and pioneered PID360, both of which are renowned throughout the security sector.

Over 450 industry leading exhibitors are in attendance showcasing 10,000+ security solutions, with live demonstrations of the latest products and technology. Key features focus on specific emergency tech challenges and requirements, providing insights, strategies and advancements from leading experts in the sector. 

This year's event especially celebrates women in the security field with workshops and seminars from women on the front line, women leading change and interesting talks such as 'inside the mind of a negotiator' with two of the UK's most experienced hostage negotiators.
