At Little Trinity Nursery, the children got busy making colourful cards and beautifully decorated picture frames, key rings and keepsakes, each one lovingly personalised for mums and the special ladies in their lives.

Nursery manager Gaynor Carter commented: “Special days like Mother’s Day give us the perfect opportunity to spark creativity through fun, hands-on play. Activities like these help children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and confidence in communicating with others.”

With glitter flowing and excitement in the air, the nursery buzzed with happy chatter as children shared stories about their mums, nans and carers, proudly explaining what makes them so special.

Added Gaynor: “While the children are having lots of fun, they’re also supporting key areas of the EYFS, such as Understanding the World. Most importantly, they love talking about their families and home life. It’s wonderful to hear their stories and see how much love goes into every gift.”

With special presents ready to share, the children were excited to take home their creations and spread a little Mother’s Day joy.
