The fundraising firewalk is being held by Newlife The Charity for Disabled Children on Friday, March 27, from 6pm to 9pm at Cannock Wood and Gentleshaw Village Hall, on Buds Road – all to raise the necessary funds so children can receive the specialist beds, wheelchairs, buggies and car seats they need to keep them safe and take part in all of life’s opportunities.

Not only will the event see people taking on this exciting challenge, but there will also be a fun evening of carnival games and refreshments for participants and supporters to enjoy too.

Lindsay Etheridge Newlife’s Volunteer Manager said “I really wanted to take part in the firewalk because in just a few minutes I can do something that’s completely out of my comfort zone, push my boundaries and know that every step I take is really making an amazing difference to the life of a disabled child.

“Not only does anyone walking barefoot across the burning embers receive bragging rights for their courage and determination, they also have the satisfaction of knowing every penny raised helps to fund equipment disabled children need to thrive.”

To take part the registration fee is £35 and the minimum fundraising pledge is £150.
