Sweeping sci-fi fantasy at Stourbridge Library
Laura Liptrot will be chatting about her Garden of Time series of sweeping sci-fi fantasy adventures for children from 2pm to 3.30pm on Saturday (March 14) at Stourbridge Library.
Now published by Bilston-based Tenebrous Texts, Laura is a prolific author, poet, scriptwriter and actor. She won an official nomination in the Best Screenplay category for her screenplay Unnatural at the Birmingham Film Festival in 2024 and is currently starring in The Haunting of Baker Street - a new, supernatural version of Sherlock Holmes that she is co-producing with Rosetta Theatre Company.
Born in Stourbridge, Laura has had four Garden of Time books and five poetry collections published.
At 2pm on Saturday 9 May, Steven C Davis will be at the library to talk about his Sælvatici and Less than Human series, as well as numerous stand-alone books. Creative director of Tenebrous Texts, Steven describes himself as storyteller, performance poet, publisher, playwright, presenter, painter and master of ceremonies.

“We are looking forward to hosting both Laura and Steven at Stourbridge Library in this National Year of Reading,” said librarian Jodi Wray.
“The events are free and booking is recommended.”
