Our Mission

The South Asian Women’s Writing Group is dedicated to supporting South Asian women in Wolverhampton and across the West Midlands. Our mission is to provide a nurturing and empowering space where women can:

• Express themselves creatively

• Share personal stories and cultural experiences

• Develop and strengthen their writing skills

• Build confidence through collaboration and peer support

Through poetry, storytelling and community engagement, the group amplifies underrepresented voices and celebrates the creative contributions of South Asian women.

Both events are wonderful opportunities to experience the power of poetry to connect cultures, languages and communities.
