Stafford DJ and supporters’ fundraiser hits £1,725 for hospice
Stafford DJ Tim Rowlands, known as TJ DJ, and his supporters raised their hands in the air — and £1,725 — at a '90s and noughties daytime disco held at RIVA Stafford on Saturday.
The popular event saw the dance floor packed all afternoon as supporters turned out in force to back the local hospice, which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care.
Tim said: “It’s great to see everybody enjoying themselves while raising money for such a fantastic cause. A big thank you to everyone who made it possible — I couldn’t do it without you.”
Tim, who also volunteers for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, has been organising daytime discos for the past two years, with each event growing in size.

His next discos will support Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as it celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.
