Jonny Cole, originally from Wednesbury, is scheduled to continue his long running tour - Armagudd’n – another 60 plus shows this March through to November.

The comic is set to hit venues all across the country including venues close to home in the Midlands and Black Country, but also going as far as Sheffield, Oxford and Liverpool, with the tour culminating at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena.

Jonny believes that now is the perfect time to continue his comedy tour because he says that now is when people need laughter and comedy the most – especially with the dawn of AI.

He said: “I think comedy is so successful at the moment because there is a need for it. All different types of backgrounds that need to be catered for.

“All the performers, yes ChatGPT can create a track, but seeing a human telling jokes or a human doing something live will become important again.

“My job is driving people away from politics and all that and to be silly and make people forget about it.

“I think comedy is going to be big business soon. When I was young the decision to go into the arts was stupid, but it’s a safe bet now.”

The 47-year-old, who has been doing comedy shows for several year, but recently rose to fame on social media, will also be performing his biggest gig ever on this tour.

On November 3, 2026, the yam-yam comedian, who combines his passion for music and singing with his comedy, will be playing Birmingham’s Utilita Arena – with an overall capacity for Cole’s show of around 8,000.

His current biggest gig stands to be his show at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall in October last year where there were over 2,000 audience members in attendance.

Jonny Cole said: “It’s not quite real yet. It will be the biggest show I’ve ever put on, I’ll be doing some extra bits, but truthfully speaking from my heart – it will be the best performance I’ve ever done.

“It will be a big personal achievement because if I never do anything else again, who knows what’s round the corner, it will just be a dream come true.

“When Wayne came up with the Birmingham one, the arena one at the end, he said we can do it, so he says if it can be done it can be done.”
