Organised by Visiting Angels, Wings of Support is an informal, friendly group designed to bring together individuals who may be navigating similar experiences. The sessions offer a relaxed environment where attendees can connect, share, and find comfort in community support.

Held every other Wednesday at Lichfield Library, the group aims to reduce isolation and provide meaningful opportunities for conversation, companionship, and mutual encouragement.

“At Visiting Angels, we are passionate about supporting our local community,” said Tiegan Norris, Care Manager at Visiting Angels. “Wings of Support is open to everyone — not just our clients. We want to ensure that families affected by dementia have access to free, accessible support close to home.”

The group welcomes people at all stages of memory loss, along with family members, friends, and carers. There is no cost to attend, and no formal referral is required.

Dementia can often feel isolating, but initiatives like Wings of Support are helping to create stronger community connections across Lichfield.
