Author delves into the Ripper suspects’ stories
Who were the men suspected of being Jack the Ripper and how did falling under suspicion impact their lives?
That’s the question author Damian Carter will be addressing when he discusses his book ‘The Whitechapel Women’ on Monday, February 23 at 11am in Cradley Library.
Redirecting the narrative away from Jack himself, Damian’s free adult-only talk will focus instead on the individuals who may or may not have been implicated in one of the most infamous murdering sprees of all time.
“Damian’s talks are always well-researched and fascinating, and this one is a good opportunity to look at who the suspects were,” said Library Manager Sue Morgan-Salcombe.
“Why were they considered suspicious and what were the repercussions of being branded a potential, very violent killer?”
