The show will star X-Factor legend Chico playing the role of King Chico, while comedian Jason Manford, though not appearing in person, will lend his voice to the role of the giant.

Amanda Bowen, panto producer and director of fundraising for The Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have both Chico and Jason Manford join us for this year’s production. Chico’s energy, passion, and star power bring something really special to the stage, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear Jason’s distinctive voice bring our animatronic giant to life!”

Following years of successful shows including ‘Cinderella’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ will be the eighth pantomime by The Mary Stevens Hospice’s Pantomime Company, and it promises to be a huge show full of family-friendly fun, laugh-out-loud comedy and dazzling special effects.

The pantomimes, which are produced and performed by a dedicated team of both staff and volunteers, are among the charity's largest fundraisers, helping to support the care given at The Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge.

Amanda Bowen said: "We are delighted to bring ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ to the stage as part of our annual pantomime tradition. At The Mary Stevens Hospice, we depend on the funds raised by our community to sustain the essential services we provide to people with life-limiting illnesses in the Black Country."

She added that the production offers something for audiences of all ages and is set to be the charity’s best pantomime yet.
