New homes scheme opens to the public in Streethay
A housing development which will ultimately comprise 200 new homes has opened to the public in Streethay, Lichfield.
National housebuilder Miller Homes has just released the first homes for sale at the development – known as The Choristers – in January, after its reserved matters planning application for the site was approved in 2025.
The Choristers, named in tribute to the musical heritage of Lichfield Cathedral, is being built on a 19.2-acre piece of land beside an existing community of new homes which were previously built by Miller Homes in Streethay.
The new development will be accessed via Morgan Mews and will include a range of one to five-bedroom homes. A total of 144 homes, ranging in size from two to five bedrooms, will be sold on the open market.

Carl Cooke, sales director of Miller Homes West Midlands, said: “Construction work is now well underway on the first selection of our properties being delivered in Streethay, so releasing the homes for sale is the natural next step at The Choristers.
“Miller Homes has a history of new housing in this part of Lichfield following the success of our previous development nearby The Choristers, so we’re very aware of the need for new housing in Streethay, of which we’re aiming to help meet that need with 200 new high-quality homes.
“We are looking forward to shortly announcing our plans for opening a showhome at The Choristers, before we will welcome our first new homeowners to Streethay later this year.

“We’d thank all those who visited our on site launch in January, and we were thrilled with the response from the public – who snapped up several of our first releases on the opening weekend.”
The development will also feature a play area and an area to the south of the site designated as allotment space, promoting the protection of the local environment and sustainable values.
Miller Homes plans to open a showhome at the development and to welcome its first residents to their new homes later in 2026.
