Construction professionals invited to free regional mental health and wellbeing event
Construction professionals from across the region are being invited to a free half-day event dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing at work.
Birmingham Health Safety and Environment Association (BHSEA) is hosting the HSE Working Well Together (WWT) event on Wednesday, February 25 at The Locker Room, Walsall FC, Bescot Crescent, Walsall.
The session is designed to give SME construction businesses practical guidance, real-life insight, and expert advice on managing stress, PTSD, financial wellbeing, and other health challenges.
Attendees will hear from an expert line-up, including:

Justin Manley, Titanium Talks – promoting workplace safety, mental well-being, and a culture of compassion and awareness
Kate Walker, The Diabetes Safety Organisation – understanding diabetes in the workplace
Chad Jones, DWJ Harkin – financial wellbeing and employee support
Anne Nyachae, a UK-based psychotherapist, organisational consultant, and trainer – psychological safety
The event is open to both BHSEA members and non-members, offering a valuable opportunity for employers, managers, and safety professionals to learn, share experiences, and strengthen wellbeing support across their organisations.

Clark Hunter, Chair of BHSEA Construction Committee, said: “Construction is a demanding industry. While we’ve seen major progress in physical safety, mental health still requires greater focus. This event will equip businesses with the tools and confidence to support their workforce, recognise warning signs, and introduce practical wellbeing measures.”
