COP Festival 2026 showcases local ideas and initiatives
The Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Celebration of the Possible (COP) Festival 2026 returns this year, and will take place on Thursday, March 12 at King’s Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, bringing together people from across the region for a free, interactive day exploring sustainability in practice.
Delivered in conjunction with the Staffordshire Green Network, the COP Festival provides a space for communities, organisations, businesses, schools and public sector teams to connect around the ideas and initiatives already taking shape across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
The organisers are inviting organisations, charities, schools, volunteer groups and community collaborations that are already doing inspiring work on sustainability to take part by hosting an interactive activity stand. Participants are encouraged to go beyond static displays and offer simple activities, demonstrations or hands-on engagement that help bring their work to life and spark ideas for others.
Alongside those sharing their work, the event is also open to Festival Visitors. Visitors can explore what is happening across the county, take part in activities, join conversations and be inspired by practical examples of local action.

The morning will focus on exploration and networking, with interactive stands and demonstrations from across the region. In the afternoon, the Festival will move into a series of participant-led discussions, shaped by the interests and priorities of those attending and guided by four broad Festival themes: Energy, Food & Growing, Nature, and Circular Economy.
The event is made possible thanks to its headline sponsors: Stoke-on-Trent City Council, through the use of King’s Hall as the venue, alongside Woolcool and Cosy Direct. Supporting sponsors include Brown Recycling and Zephi.
Attendance at the COP Festival is free, with advance booking required.
