Places are filling up fast for the popular quiz which also offers players a fish and chip supper from The Island House restaurant.

Teams of up to four people can enter and all money raised goes towards the charities the Mayor, Cllr Craig Collingswood, is fundraising for during his year in office - Compton Care, Acorns Children's Hospice, SSAFA - the armed forces charity and the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity.

Local radio personality Dicky Dodd will once again be acting as quiz master.

The Mayor said that everyone was welcome at the quiz nights which had become a highlight of the civic calendar, bringing together residents, community groups and businesses in aid of local charities.

He added: “Our quiz and chip nights are always fantastic fun, but most importantly they raise money for charities that make an enormous difference to people’s lives in Wolverhampton.

"Places are filling up fast, but there is still room if anyone wants to enter a team and enjoy a fun night with the option of having a fish and chip supper or vegetarian alternative as well."
